As Research and Communications Assistant, Maya Radwan is excited to support Cohesion Strategy’s mission of fostering pluralism and social cohesion by leveraging her background in research and social-behavior change interventions to amplify the organization’s impact.
Maya holds a BA in Psychology with a Certificate in International Relations and Diplomacy from Long Island University-Brooklyn. She was recently selected as part of the Ibrahim Leadership and Dialogue Program, an interfaith fellowship that brought together young leaders to travel across the Middle East and explore issues of peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and sustainable development. Maya also completed the prestigious Watson Fellowship, during which she interned with the Aspen Institute’s Religion & Society Program, supporting projects that fostered religious pluralism. She further gained hands-on experience in international development through internships with local NGOs and consulting firms in Jordan and Tunisia, working on projects ranging from refugee resettlement and integration to civil society strengthening and women's economic empowerment.
Outside of work, Maya can often be found experimenting with new recipes, trying out a new art medium, or enjoying some good music.
