It’s the start of a new year, but at Cohesion Strategy, our belief in the power of stories to foster understanding and build bridges remains as steadfast as ever. Since early summer 2024, Abbie Haug, our Communications Manager, has played an integral role in this mission, helping shape our communications strategy and define how we tell our story and connect with our audience.
Through her work, creativity, and vision, Abbie transformed our approach to storytelling, ensuring that our work on pluralism and belonging reached wider audiences and created meaningful impact. Her contributions will continue to propel our work forward, and while we are sad to see her go, we are excited to see what she accomplishes next as she finishes her studies at Harvard Divinity School this spring.
As we bid farewell to Abbie, we are thrilled to welcome Maya Radwan as our new Research and Communications Assistant. Maya brings a strong background in research and social-behavior change interventions, along with a deep commitment to bridge-building and mitigating group divides. She draws on the cognitive sciences and a nuanced understanding of human behavior to foster social cohesion and address pressing challenges.
A recent graduate of LIU-Brooklyn with a BA in Psychology and a Certificate in International Relations and Diplomacy, Maya’s journey has been shaped by her work with the Ibrahim Leadership and Dialogue Program, where she traveled across the Middle East to explore peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and sustainable development. She also completed the Watson Fellowship, during which she supported religious pluralism initiatives with the Aspen Institute’s Religion & Society Program and contributed to development projects in Jordan and Tunisia.
We are excited to see all that 2025 brings with Maya on board, and we wish Abbie the best of luck on her next chapter!
